Please explain to me why forever21 will not let you remove clothes off the mannequins to buy? Its false advertisement to have it dressed in something that is no longer in stock and will not be produced any longer.

So yeah it can be a pain in the butt to take the clothes off but hello IT IS a clothing store, isnt that part of the job? Used to love this store until clothes (especially sweaters) seemed to get more expensive and cheaper...30 bucks for a sweater that's covered in rhinestones that are just barely glued on and going to fall off the first time you wear it!?

No thanks!!

I tried this pants in forever 21. Size M it is a bit big to me and on the shelf only one M and one XL.

The S is on the mannequin. And yes. The store manager refused to exchange that one.

His attitude is not sincere and persuasive. Instead, showing they were lazy and didnโ€™t wanna change.

Forever21 at Valencia Westfield mall- rudest employees ever! They don't greet customers, instead give you the angry not happy working here look.

If you ask for help, ignore you & tell you "I have to help other customers too." UMM HELLO!

i know that but you haven't finished helping me & I was here first with a simple question. They are lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually it's not true. I was visual merchandiser for Forever 21 MOA location.

Worked there three years. An actually only Sales associates wont do it for customers because it has to go through a visual merchandiser's seal of approval first. And visual merchandiser's are usually only ever on staff during early morning to afternoon. Those mannequins are a huge job to change but it doesn't mean you can't not have the shirt off the mannequins back.

But those mannequins outfits are sometimes al ready decided on by people in corporate and not always designed by the visual merchandiser's an that's the reason you need their approval.

to be honest with you, i disagree with your anger....store mannequins are a huge hassle to change and create in the first place, last thing you want is some complaining tween force you to change the mannequin design just because she wants that one shirt. First its quite uncreative of you to go straight for whats on the mannequin, but we also know for a fact that that sweater looks very different on a normal person's body and will never meet up to its expected allure when displayed on a pinky thin mannequin.

Places like Zara, Club monaco etc will not take down mannequins for this exact reason. sorry honey just suck it up and try H&M for the same shirt lol

There are several reasons why the clothing cannot be taken off of the mannequin. The first is a safety issue.

Mannequins can be dangerous when disassembled. They are resting on a silver plate which has a very sharp spike sticking up in the mannequins leg. I've seen customers almost trip and fall on top of this because they weren't watching where they were walking. Second, it's a Loss Prevention issue.

Clothing on mannequins isn't sensored, and when it's taken off of the mannequin, it's easier for customers to take and steal while associates are busy helping other customers. Finally, it's corporate directive to have that EXACT outfit on the mannequin. Believe it or not, they send photos of mannequins dressed exactly how they want to all of the stores, which must comply or managers can be written up and fired. And sometimes, managers disobey company policy and take the clothing off of the mannequin.

But you know what? Half the time, the customer changes their mind and doesn't want it anymore.

It's company policy to leave the mannequins styled and sales associates and store managers have to follow that policy. You can put the item on hold if you'd like to purchase it after it comes off the mannequin, otherwise you can buy it online.

Hmm the forever 21 I have been to doesn't change it weekly. In fact last year they had a dress on one mannequin for a whole season that they wouldn't sell and didn't have in the store anymore.

We don't allow things taken down until the day that the mannequins are changed. This happens weekly.

we want mannequins to remain styled a certain way to promote the trends happening in the store.

You can simply ask an associate to find out the day that the mannequins are changed and come on that day to purchase any items removed from them. I know this because I work here.
